Slow News Day

Today was a very slow news day. Everybody seems to be going crazy over some stupid-ass conference regarding T2's fiscal year hoping that they'll get a meaningful piece of information about IV for the first time since before "The characters of GTA IV". To even think about important news before that would be very mentally strenuous. The GTA forum is a buzz full of posts with Take 2 somewhere in there title, yet nothing. Surely a lot of people are pissed off and angry that not a sliver of news was released, except that the release is between February and March. HELLO!!!!! That's old news! Even though some people would say "It's better to have old news than to have no news at all. I beg to differ. A lot of people were let down when they see headlines that tell them there is news then find out it's old. I know I was. Well thats all I can report on for now so I'll hopefully have something new to talk about soon.

The characters of IV

Roman:

Roman is Niko's cousin who's been pursuing the "american dream" in LC, which he has been telling Niko, is fast cars, women, hot tubs and mansions. Instead, he operates a taxi stand in Broker. He also has a girlfriend named Mallorie, who doesn't take Roman seriously, nor does he her.

Elizabeta:

Elizabeta has been a successful drug dealer in Bohan for ten years. She owes her success to a low key profile and the fact that she'll pay off or kill all the right people. She is very paranoid and delusional due to the knowledge that a drug crackdown is going to put her under scrutiny and also because her own drug use has gotten out of control.

Manny (left) and Elizabeta (right)

Manny:

Manny is an example of a changed man. He was once a thug from the school of hard knocks who also was there when hip-hop, graffiti and break dancing were created. Now, he is dedicated to cleaning up the hood, the kids who live there and the streets they hang on. To prove this he is making a documentary about himself.

Vlad:

Vlad is a powerful gangster who runs Hove Beach with an iron fist and takes nothing from nobody, in his imagination that is. In reality Vlad is a small time hood who is trying to gain the attention of high level gangsters while running petty operations.

Brucie:

Brucie is an enthusiast of such things as fitness and cars. He is also serious about hip-hop, maybe a little too serious, though. He's very loud and is sure going to let you know that he's rich. He has only the finest of women, cars and performance enhancing steroids.

JackThompsonass

Jack Thompson is a real jackass. He gos around making a bunch of fuss about violence in video games. Where does he come off trying to stop the sale of certain video games to minors, first of all he's a lawyer hasn't he heard of the first ammendment? and second of all I believe it should be up to the parents of these minors to decide whether or not they play these videogames. I'm glad Rockstar Games makes fun of them. He targets them primarily, for example when that videogame Bully came out he made a big deal because if the player wishes to he can kiss another male character in the game. Now, because Rockstar wants to take a jab a him in the upcoming GTA: IV by creating a character who is a lawyer, whom your character must kill, who says a line that seems too similar to something Thompson would say "Guns don't kill people, videogames do!". After hearing about this Thompson says that he will "take necessary and proper means to stop release of the game" unless the similarities towards him are removed. For now we can only wait until Jack Thompson tries to make a jackass out of himself and Rockstar slaps a lawsuit on him that we know our game is safe.
